Von Frankenstein guitar strings are made on a U.S. workbench using the best-available, domestically sourced, raw materials. Each string is made by hand, one at a time, with nickel-plated steel that’s carefully wrapped around a treated hex steel core. Tasty tones but a little light for my preference

They sound and feel great but I prefer heavier strings. I like to tune a full step down, they still play well and sound good but they are definitely ideal for standard tuning.

Finally found my strings

The best strings on the market.

I personally have never been to picky with my strings because I honestly never felt too much of a difference…. Until now. I use the loomis pack on both my 6 and 7 strings and absolutely love them both. The gauges are a perfect blend for my playing and the strings sound amazing. They also seem to last a lot longer than some brands who wear out quicker than a pack of gum. My only wish is this company could develop a monthly subscription so they show up at my door when I’m ready to change them.

The Seven Strings of God

So I’ve owned my Schecter Signature Loomis Cygnus JLX-7 FR for about 5 years now as shown in the picture. Been eagerly awaiting the day Jeff would have his own signature strings to go with the guitar and now that he does, I absolutely had to buy them.

I had a full setup performed on my guitar when I had these strings put on and I’ve been extremely pleased with them. I play primarily in standard and these beauties absolutely sing. They contribute to a very bright, articulate sound with a buttery smooth feel. I can play on these strings for extended periods of time and my fingers never feel worn out no matter how much rhythm and lead work I put in.

During the times I drop-tune the B string to A, they maintain their tension and feel without any additional fret-buzz so I can dish out a deep, brutal ch0nk to borrow from Nik Nocturnal.

These strings are everything I’d hoped for and more. Naturally, I will be exclusively using these strings with my Schecter. The 26.5” scale neck demands the best and these are everything I’d hoped they’d be. Buy with confidence. You won’t be disappointed.

Killer strings!

The 9-62 signature set offers the perfect combination of strings required for our music! The lows support that chugging power but the higher strings bend with ease. No more need to frankenstein (no pun intended) a set of strings together from different sets to get that 9-62 combo package. The 9-62 Seven Strings of God nails it!
